Greetings Promiseland Parents!

This month in Promiseland, the Gospel Project is taking us on a journey to look at how the Gospel was spread.

Have you ever stopped to think about how the Gospel got to you? Whether you were in church, with a parent, a friend, or perhaps a total stranger, SOMEONE shared the Gospel with you. Someone else shared it with them, and someone else shared it before that. If it were possible for us to trace our Gospel journey all the way back, eventually, we would make it back to the group who was initially tasked with sharing it! That’s right! We would make it all the way back to the disciples!

This month, the children are learning about some key moments at the beginning of the Gospel’s journey to the world. From Peter’s vision that the Gospel is not just for the Jews, but for everyone, to Barnabas being an encourager when people tried to stop the Gospel from being spread, we have learned that Jesus is better than anything and living for Him means living a life of faith!

So what does this mean for us? During my very first week in the office, Jesus struck me with this reality. Our kids are headed back into their greatest mission field this month. I was blown away by the fact a Covid disruption to our curriculum schedule provided a way for us to be talking about spreading the Gospel, as our kids go back to school!

Over the last couple years, I’ve had this statement in my office, and I have it above my computer in my office here at KCF.

I DREAM of MILLIONS of GOD-ASTONISHED KIDS in ACTION with HIM, SHATTERING DIVISIONS, INJUSTICE, and LOSTNESS!

I am convinced that our kids are the catalyst to reaching the younger generations with the Gospel. They are able to do so in ways and places that we as adults often cannot. As adults though, we play a key role in encouraging them to authentically live out the Gospel and modeling what that looks like.

Let’s pray for our kids as they head back to schools. As they continue to learn about Jesus that they would be eager to share and live out what they are learning!

Blessings friends!

Parent Child Connection

Take some time to chat with your child about your Gospel journey, and if your child has a relationship with Jesus, you can try to trace their Gospel journey. Together, talk about who God may use you to carry the Gospel to next!
